How Does a blood lancet pen Work?

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how it works:

1. Loading: To prepare the Lancet Pen for use, a disposable lancet is loaded into the device. Lancets are small, fine needles specifically designed for blood sampling.
2. Adjustment: Many Pens allow users to adjust the penetration depth. This feature ensures that the lancet penetrates to the appropriate depth, which may vary depending on factors like skin thickness and personal comfort.
3. Trigger: When the user is ready to collect a blood sample, they press the trigger button on the  Pen. This action releases the spring-loaded lancet, swiftly puncturing the skin and creating a tiny, virtually painless incision.
4. Blood Collection: A small droplet of blood forms at the puncture site. This is the sample that will be used for glucose monitoring or other diagnostic tests.
5. Eject and Dispose: Once the blood sample is collected, some Lancet Pens have a mechanism to safely eject and dispose of the used lancet, reducing the risk of accidental needlestick injuries.
